**Male arrested for burglary offences** |
||
|
You may recall we have recently been appealing for witnesses in relation to some burglaries that have occurred within the Dales area where quad bikes, farm machinery and a trailer were stolen.
We have now arrested a male from the Durham area for these offences. The male has been bailed as the investigation continues.
Burglaries can be extremely difficult to prove. The hard work now really begins with us looking into technical mobile phone data, crime scene analysis and a range of other enquiries to try and bring the male arrested before the courts. These may lead to further arrests of other persons.
You can help prevent further offending by reporting any suspicious activity through to us on 999 in an emergency, on 101 or through the North Yorkshire Police website. If you see someone acting suspiciously, or spot a vehicle driving slowly that could be scoping out properties to burgle, please ensure you report this through to us.
Please ensure you keep your property and valuables locked safely and securely away. If able please fit some working CCTV to your property along with security lighting. Where possible please fit trackers to any of your vehicles so that they can be monitored in the unfortunate event that they are stolen.
If you would like a crime prevention visit by one of the team to discuss you security please reply to this message, or email lauren.wilkinson@northyorkshire.police.uk
